The traditional Cretan village of Episkopi is located on the northern region of Crete, and is between the counties of Rethymno and Chania. The village is one of immense charm and history.

The winding roads of the village offer a throwback to the years of old, and the buildings and general apperance of the village is one that has not changed to much through the years.

There are a number of beautiful churches scattered around the streets of the village.

Episkopi is not a typical touristic village. You will not find noisy bars, nightclubs or other such places of entertainment. It is a quiet and peaceful village, and one that is well worth visiting if you are in the region.

There is also a fantastic beach located approximately 3km from the village. This beach is extremely beautiful and is exceptionally clean.

Many people from both the counties of Chania and Rethymno regulary come to this beach for swimming and relaxing in the summer. The beach is very large and one that you will really enjoy.

The location of Episkopi makes it an easy place to visit, no matter which part of Crete you are based in when you holiday on this magical Greek island. The capital town of Heraklion is just 90km. There are bus routes to Episkopi that depart from a number of towns and villages across Crete.
